FRIED-012 130 NY-SC-9JD-FRIED 7 Special Rules – Contested Matrimonial Actions All motions and cross-motions in matrimonial actions must be made by Order to Show Cause. Both parties and counsel must appear on the return date of any motion. Parties must appear at all matrimonial conferences unless directed otherwise. Counsel must have substantive communications before the Preliminary Conference either in person or telephonically.
